The Italian distillery produces distinctive spirits that blend modern creativity with artisanal production methods, using carefully selected herbs, spices, flowers, fruits, and other high-quality raw ingredients.
A longtime Berlin Packaging customer, Opificio Cattaneo partnered with Studio One Eleven to create a custom package for its new Cactus gin and amaro. The vision was ambitious - even for the most skilled glass manufacturers: a bottle inspired by the iconic desert plant. The Studio team used our structural design, engineering, and glass production expertise to transform the concept into a manufacturable reality. Through multiple rounds of design, refinements, and prototypes, the Studio team developed a solution that balances striking aesthetics with technical feasibility.
One-Of-A-Kind Bottle
The result is a truly one-of-a-kind bottle. Sculpted from flint glass, it features two ribbed flanges that mimic cactus arms and subtle debossed dots that evoke its spines. A custom closure, designed to resemble a blooming cactus flower, is enhanced with specialty decoration and silk-screen printing for a premium finishing touch. Clear visual differentiation between the gin and amaro—including transparent versus decorated glass and contrasting cap colors—creates strong shelf impact while making the products easy for consumers to distinguish.
