Remus Bourbon’s Babe Ruth Reserve is a celebration of the 1920s era of baseball and bourbon, and the limited-edition release is a one-of-a-kind collector’s item. With a minimum suggested price of $149.99, the package needed to feel exclusive and premium for the discerning consumer. The Studio’s design team hit it out of the park with a custom package as special as the product inside. The designers created an ornate rectangular art deco-inspired glass bottle that pays homage to the style and spirit of the 1920s. Baseball is at the heart of the design, with an embossed baseball-diamond pattern that stands out as something unique and special. The bottle is topped off with a wooden cork closure that resembles the knob of a baseball bat, and complemented with a diamond-shaped label.
The special product has a limited release of 10,624 bottles, one for each of the Babe’s plate appearances. Each bottle is numbered and has a QR code on the back label that allows consumers to scan and find out what Ruth did in their bottle’s numbered plate appearance. This gives the consumer a chance to hunt for “home run bottles,” or even more uncommon expressions, creating a more engaging brand experience and a sense of personalization and exclusivity.
